Quadruple Play Posted September 10, 2006 Share Posted September 10, 2006 So here's my problem. I've been subscribed to Sports Illustrated for 3 and a half years. Just recently I became tired of SI's endless football coverage, the Carson Palmer rehabilitation cover really pissed me off) with a few blurbs on baseball and the occasional bleh story from Tom Verducci. I'm going to cancel my subscription this week, but I don't know where other magazines rate on baseball coverage (ESPN and TSN are terrible.) Any suggestions? I used to get Baseball America which I really enjoyed but stopped because of financial reasons. I'd suggest joining some premium online baseball resources. I just got a free subscription of Baseball Digest and i find there's too much useless crap for the modern baseball fan. I feel that appeals more to the older baseball fan or the statistician type. TSwift25 Posted September 11, 2006 Share Posted September 11, 2006 I cancelled my SI subscription after their coverage of the best young arms in the game gave a feature on John Wayne but not a single mention of any Marlin...it's just that kind of coverage that disgusts me. I don't care if the Marlins are mentioned or not, but when you exclude all of them for John Wayne...well, I'm done. Just a trash magazine. I reccommend Baseball America to anyone looking for coverage beyond what you'd simply read in a newspaper, but other than that, I guess TSN is decent, never been a huge fan.
