A lot of members of MB.com are anti-gun, I hope to change this. This is an open invitation to any MB.com member in South Florida, i'll be glad to meet any of you at Markham Park or another gun range of your choice in South Florida and let you shoot any of my guns. The only stipulation is you must bring your own ammo, you can buy ammo cheap at Walmart or Outdoor World.

Here are pictures of my entire collection, you can pick and choose any gun you see and shoot it. The only exceptions are the curio and relic rifles (the old rifles) because ammo is hard to find for them.

Go Marlins :thumbup :notworthy

The entire family.

Ruger 10/22 rifle... good rifle for beginners who have never shot before.

Just above the Ruger 10/22 rifle is a Mosin-Nagant M44, this rifle is more than 60 years old and was the main battle rifle for Russia in WW2, it has a 1 foot long foldable bayonet at the end. Unfortunately this rifle uses an obscure type of ammo which is not sold commercially, so it's hard to find.

This rifle needs no introduction, it is a 1903 Springfield, it was the standard issue American battle rifle during WW1 and it was used in every major conflict that America was involved in from the early 1900's all the way up through the end of WW2. If you go see the movie Flags of our Fathers, this is the rifle used by the Marines to capture Iwo Jima. The 1903 uses the standard .30-06 round, however it can only eat surplus ammo because modern commercial ammo of the same caliber is overloaded.

This right you see in the middle right above the 1903 Springfield is the M1 Garand, this is the rifle that replaced the 1903 Springfield and it is the greatest battle rifle ever conceived. This rifle was standard issue to American servicemen from about half way through WW2 all the way up through Korea and until the beginning of Vietnam when it was finally replaced by the M16. Variants of the M1 are still in use today by designated marksman in the military. It uses the exact same round as the 1903 Springfield, however it cannot eat modern ammo, only surplus for the same reasons.

This is the Remington 870 .12 gauge shotgun, the most popular shotgun in the world. It's fun as hell to shoot, but be prepared to wake up the next morning with a bruised shoulder, it's brutal.

This is my Bushmaster AR-15. This rifle is the civilian version of the M16 used by militaries around the world which has been in service since Vietnam. Anyone who has never shot an AR-15 before probably has it built up to some supergun in their own minds, but you will actually be very disappointed when you shoot it, the recoil is no different than a .22 rifle, however Hollywood has led you to believe otherwise. The novelty of a "BLACK ASSAULT RIFLE" will wear off very quickly once you squeeze off a magazine or two and you'll realize that this rifle has been completely blown out of proportion by the media. It's definitely a fun rifle don't get me wrong, but it's NOTHING like how it's portrayed in the movies, on TV, and in the media.

This is my Beretta M9, it is the standard issue sidearm of the U.S. military and is widely used by military and law enforcement around the world. It's 9mm and incredibly reliable, it's also a great beginners gun to learn on if you've never shot before.

This is my Springfield 1911 TRP, it's abolutely beautiful, the pictures don't do it justice. It's .45 ACP and an absolute tack driver at the range. This is definitely not a beginners handgun and if you've never handled and shot a 1911 before or are otherwise not very experienced, I can't bring this one to the range.

This right here is my Sig Sauer P229 DAK in .40S&W. It doesn't look like much, but this is the gun that I trust my life to. The 229 is the little brother of the 226. It is incredibly reliable, more than 15,000 rounds have been through it without a single failure of any kind *knock on wood* - the Sig slogan isn't "TO HELL AND BACK RELIABILITY" for no reason. This is also the standard issue handgun of the Secret Service, and if it's good enough to protect the President, then it's good enough to protect my family and I. The DAK trigger is absolutely spectacular, it's Sig's own version of double action only but they've mastered it. I also have Crimson Trace lasergrips on it, very fun at the range.

Yes, I love Sig :) .

This is my Ruger 22/45 MKIII. It's a .22 pistol, the reason I got it was because it has the same ergonomics and control setup of a 1911, but it's .22 caliber which means I can go to the range and shoot 500 rounds for only about 10 bucks. I can get a lot of trigger time and training for a very small amount of money. I love shooting my other guns, but it just gets expensive and this gun is a great alternative.

Some patches on my range bag:

I'm a card carrying life member of the NRA :) :notworthy

I'm an IDPA member and actively compete in IDPA matches, tournaments, and competitions. It's a lot of fun and truly is an "action sport."

I competed in CMP junior rifle matches when I was younger, and they're also the non-profit organization setup by the government to distribute 1903 Springfield and M1 Garand surplus rifles back to the American public.

Just a Bushmaster patch, they're a great company who supports the consumer... unlike Colt and HK.

I haven't gotten around to to sewing this one on my range bag yet.

And that's pretty much it. I hope you guys enjoyed looking at the pictures and you're more than welcome to shoot any of them (except the old rifles and the 1911-unless you're already experienced). Just bring your own ammo and have some fun :thumbup . If you want to shoot my rifles or long guns, Markham Park is the only outdoor rifle range, except for Trail Glades in Miami but that's too far from me. PBSO opens up their private outdoor 800 yard range once a month to civilians, but they're always crowded when they do. As far as the handguns go, any range in the Broward area is good, I prefer American Indoor in Hollywood.

God bless America :notworthy

What......

The......

f***.....

I would love to but I live in Virginia. I'm looking at buying a .22 rifle soon.

I am so glad I dont live next door to you.

If there is ever a riot or mass chaos in South Fla I'm going to Accord's house. For sure.

Nice guns.

My next door neighbor was the most hardcore liberal anti-gun blah blah blah person on the face of the earth. She HATED guns and thought I was nuts for owning them, she would always make jokes like "when the zombies come, i'm going to your house!" Well a few months ago I invited her to go shooting with me at the range, needless to say she is now an NRA member and I have a new girlfriend :lol .

Can I get ammo for the AR-15 at wall-mart?

Awesome collection BTW, love the 229 :thumbup

note to self...dont piss accord off

But ya shooting at the range is kinda fun

Yes, it's just standard .223 ammo and it's readily available at Walmart, I recommend the WWB (Winchester White Box) value packs, they're usually pretty cheap.

I happen to be a Sig man myself.

Also known as the Cadillac of handguns.

I have a shotgun, a Sig .40 cal, a Baby Glock and I have fired an MP5 and an AR-15.

An AR-15 is very nifty and Accord is absolutely correct about Hollywoods sensationalism of it.

With that said, if the sh*t hit the fan (ie: New Orleans after Katrina) I would choose the AR-15 to defend my home and family.

nice collection

do not understand what the gun fear is about - guys like accord aren't going to shoot your dog or put one through your TV

I grew up with guns in the house and living in the woods enjoyed shooting in my backyard - i've never hunted (not opposed, just not my deal) - but shooting is a lot of fun - it's an incredible skill and not a bad hobby at all

also nice to have some added protection just in case (and the knowledge how to use it)

I must admit Accord, that NRA life member plaque looks freaking amazing.

I am so glad I dont live next door to you.

:lol :lol :lol

Same here.

Thanks

I don't hunt either, I think it's barbaric, unnecessary, and just plain stupid.

Actually Accord

I see your invitation.

And I raise to say that I can out skeet shoot you anytime, anyplace.

If SHTF, i'm not sure i'd turn to my AR-15... i'd probably go with my Remington 870 and my Sig 229 on my hip.

There's a trap and skeet range at Markham Park :thumbup .

Awesome. Last time I went to the skeet range I outshot a family friend who is a Navy SEAL.

how do you not know u won't get a wierdo lol

If I still lived down there in Weston, I'd head over there and do that..I've always wanted to try shooting a gun..

This thread is awesome. And that is quite a collection. I am generally anti-gun, but whatever...it's cool how proud you are of your collection. Just don't shoot anyone.

Haha, the only thing I shoot is three pointers and skeet.

Good night it's too late for abd jokes like these.

hahaha accord..

and how do we know accord wont shoot us..

"check this gun out... go stand over there by that tree"

The 1911 is a badass gun bro, I want one myself.

Guns are cool and all, and I use them regularly, as im in the military. Bu I dont see the point in owning that many. When I do buy a gun, it'll be a 1911, but because i want it for defense, and cause its the best damn handgun period.
