rferry
As I said in the other thread, Acta and Gonzalez interest me most.

Beastie
Freddy Gonzalez has to be the top candidate. All the guy has ever done in his managerial career is win. Heres a quick biography. http://atlanta.braves.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/t...id=621104194427
Fishfan79
Fredi or Sweet Lou There was rumors out of St. Louis that their manager might be gone if they dont go deep into the playoffs. But I doubt it.
Ramp
as long as it's not Jim Fregosi or Dusty Baker, Ill probably be fine with it
MarlinsLou
Fredi or Sweet Lou There was rumors out of St. Louis that their manager might be gone if they dont go deep into the playoffs. But I doubt it. Those are my 1 and 2 guys as well. Pinella would be fun just to see him get tossed 15 games a year.
Hollyberry
Lou- Would he be kinda rough on the boys?
Admin
Seeing Lou argue with the umps is worth the price of admission. BTW it's sort of on topic so let me just say I want Conine as our manager one day. I truly think he'll make a great coach and manager if he decides to take that route when he retires. CantCatchMe
I'd like to see Gonzalez get it if this were a normal situation. But I think they'll look for someone who will comply with their dictates, and be happy with an abysmally low payroll and losing 90+ games. MarlinsLou
Lou- Would he be kinda rough on the boys? Is slamming Olsen into a locker to rough?
Admin
Lou- Would he be kinda rough on the boys? Is slamming Olsen into a locker to rough? That Red Sox fan who calls Girardi "Joey Pitbull" would like that reference. Randy Messenger might get jealous.

CYmarlins
Fredi Gonzalez would be fine, his bio does look impressive and even when he took over a couple of games in 1999 when John Boles was out of time he did well. Also I like the presence of a Latin Manager and it would just make Cabrera and the other guys feel better.
louiecastillo1
Fredi Gonzalez. But if not, then maybe Stan Van Gundy.

Why would a latin manager make Cabrera feel any better ?If he has felt bad up to this point i would like to see the numbers he puts up when he feels better

But why aren't you worried about how the "Anglo" players feel. Are you some king of bigot? What about Uggla. Let's get a Swedish-American manager for him; and a Texan for Josh Johnson, and maybe a black manager since Willis is our highest paid player. And what about Willingham, Hermida, Abercrombie, Olsen, Borowski, Messenger, Moehler, Treanor, Helms, Jacobs, Borchard, Ross, etc. We certainly can't hire a "Latin" and piss off all those non-Latin players , now, can we? Stop with the ethnic BS. Like Fredi because he has talent, not because he's "Latin."
