Junior
Simms at hospital Quarterback Chris Simms was taken by ambulance to St. Joseph's Hospital in Tampa for an undisclosed problem. He is listed in critical condition. Simms took several hard hits during the game -- on several pass attempts and a touchdown run -- and he left the game once in the third quarter, reportedly to be treated for dehydration. The quarterback went down on a knee at the end of a Bucs possession, but he walked to the locker room under his own power. He returned to the field and led the Bucs on a go-ahead scoring drive. After the game, he also left the field under his own power. Posted by Times Editor at 6:48:01 PM on September 24,

Junior
I'm hearing he has some sort of internal injuries. Prayers. This would make sense. I was thinking heat stroke. Can you tell me where you heard that from or no?
Passion
Reading it from people who are listening to WDAE and other Tampa/St. Pete local radio. Damn, WDAE is a Lightning game right now, so no use in listening to their feed right now.

Chris Simms is in critical condition at a Tampa hospital with unknown injuries. Coach Jon Gruden said he hurt his ribs, but didn't seem to know about severity of the injuries. Simms took a couple hard hits to his midsection and looked dazed to us. Simms did impressively come back in to finish the game.

Again, that's not from me. It's from a message board, so take it for waht it's worth. For some reason, I doubt the hosptial would let that info out. Junior
He is not in critical condition. Just heard the Tampa coach on NBC. Yes, but Peter King also said Bruce Allen couldn't tell him anything specific until he spoke to the family. So something is going on. SkyJuice
i would not be surprised if it is a serious condition.. based off what i saw after that hit on the td run.. and that they are 'no commenting' on it
