October 8, 200322 yr People around the country are becoming attached to the Marlins. So we White Sox fans are not the only ones beyond South Florida rooting for the Fighting Fish. This is great! The more, the merrier!
October 8, 200322 yr gotta agree there. i mean if you're a brewers fan or an Orioles fan or a Reds fan or a Rockies fan sitting at home, who do you root for here? Seems to me that any fan who is not from Chicago, Boston, or New York pretty much hates those teams. Not to mention that even Mets & White Sox fans hate them too. Partly because the Yanks & BoSox can spend without a care in the world, but everyone's got their reasons. So the only team to root for is the Marlins! They're the outsider, the party crasher. the long shot, the cinderella story, however you want to put it. they've got easily the lowest payroll, easily the least fanfare, but here they are knocking off favorites like the Phils & Giants already. The more the country gets to watch this team, the more they'll like 'em.
October 8, 200322 yr Rockies fans hate Cubs fans. It is something they have always had for whatever reason. they will root for the sister team to be the evil empire.
