LAT...LON 2628 8034 2634 8027 2631 8021 2631 8007 2625 8011 2607 8011 2601 8024 2628 8037 MIAMI -- The National Weather Service in Miami has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for eastern Broward County and a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado in central Broward County. The possibility for a tornado remains in effect until 2:30 p.m. Wednesday. Doppler radar indicated a severe thunderstorm capable of producing penny-sized hail and damaging winds in excess of 60 mph. The possible tornado was located near Tamarac and was moving southeast at 20 mph. Affected cities could include North Lauderdale, Pompano Beach, Lauderdale Lakes, Oakland Park and Fort Lauderdale. Weather spotters told Local 10 they saw large hail in the Las Olas district of Fort Lauderdale.
