October 12, 200321 yr I think we're wearing the yankee type uni's today, with the Florida "F" in the top right corner and pinstripes. We've worn them on every home sunday afternoon game, why stop now?

October 12, 200321 yr The 'magic' of the black jerseys has worn off. I dont want to see them being worn again this year. That is all. I don't want to see them worn again...I hate them. Bring back the vest with the black sleeves and TEAL letters....And the all-teal jerseys as an alternate. Who felt it was neccesary to change the uniforms?
October 12, 200321 yr It doesn't matter what we wear, as long as we win!!! We will win the series just watch these marlins.
October 12, 200321 yr Link 10/12/2003 5:49 PM ET Split decision: What jersey to wear? By Mark Newman / MLB.com MIAMI -- The next time you order a customized jersey from the MLB.com Shop and wear it to the ballpark, you might want to check first with your favorite team's starting pitchers. In most cases, they are the ones who decide what color jersey will be on the field that day. If you have watched the National League Championship Series really closely, then you know that the Chicago Cubs wore the road blues instead of grays in all three games at Pro Player Stadium. Kerry Wood, Matt Clement and Carlos Zambrano each made those decisions, and Mark Prior will be wearing either home whites for Game 6 of the NLCS or road gray (not blue) for Game 1 of the World Series. The Marlins won Game 1 of the NLCS in gray jerseys at Wrigley Field, but they switched to black tops for Game 2 because of Brad Penny's preference. They stayed with the black jerseys until switching to the home alternate-white jersey on Sunday -- with the "F" Marlin logo instead of the "MARLINS" across the front. That is the preference of team owner Jeffrey Loria, for each Sunday when the club is home. "It's up to the pitchers -- whatever they want to wear," said Marlins catcher Mike Redmond, before putting on the white with pinstripes. "Some of our pitchers like black, some like the whites. I'm sure it is a superstitious thing, as they feel they are pitching well in a certain jersey. The [position] players don't care. Whatever they feel is going to make their world better, we're glad to go along with it." The preference is only permissible on teams that feature alternate jerseys, and almost all of the teams have those choices today. The Yankees, for example, do not -- they still wear the classic white with pinstripes at home and the gray jerseys on the road. "It was a heck of a lot simpler in the old days," says Hall of Famer Billy Williams, who spent most of his playing days with the Cubs and finished on Charlie Finley's colorfully clad Oakland A's of the 1970s. "You had a home and a road jersey. Now guys wear a lot of uniforms, and if a pitcher has luck in that particular shirt, he will make everyone wear that color shirt the next time out. It also helps market styles of jerseys. When I was with Oakland, Finley always made us wear our 'wedding whites' on Sundays." Just like Florida in Game 5 of this NLCS. Tom Hellmann, the Cubs' home clubhouse manager, said that discerning Cubs fans can follow this schedule if they want to wear the same-colored jersey that Chicago wears on that particular day: "Clement is blue. Zambrano is blue. [shawn] Estes wanted white and gray. Prior is white and gray. And Wood, he's back and forth." Wood had a no-decision in the Cubs' Game 3 victory here, so the jury is out on whether he would stay with blue whether home or away if he has another 2003 start. Hellmann knows to follow those pitchers' routines when he has jerseys cleaned and hung in each player's locker before a game. There are some exceptions to the rule, however. "If we were playing the Royals or someone else, and if they were the home team and wanted to wear blue, then they would decide," Hellmann said. "You can't have both teams wearing blue, obviously." Preparing for the Cubs' third consecutive day in blues, Hellmann said, "We're just happy to have a jersey on at this point. Hopefully we'll get to wear them two more weeks." Look at any Dontrelle Willis photo from his spectacular rookie season, and you normally will see him in a black jersey. He stayed true to that routine in Game 4. P.J. Loyello, the Marlins' vice president of communications and broadcasting, said, "I've got a picture of Dontrelle in my office wearing white, and that's a keeper." Loyello said Florida wears alternate black on Sunday road games and usually gray on the road otherwise. "But it goes with superstitions, so sometimes the gray is replaced by black." He also noted that Mike Redman, Florida's Game 3 starter "usually likes white at home but he went with black in this series." The MLB.com Shop features authentic home and away jerseys, including alternate tops, for every team. Each jersey is customizable with a player's number and name on the back. October 12, 200321 yr No more black then. If we bring back the teal unis, they better be a nice teal color with black and white Marlins logo. Keep the same hats an pants as the black we wear now, but these tops if you want to wear the teal so bad.
October 13, 200321 yr I want to see these two uni's back: White/teal pinstripe vest (with black/silver logo/#/names) White/teal pinstripe pants. Teal undershirt. Teal Socks. Teal Cleats. Teal hats. ALTERNITIVE: White/black pinstripe vest (with teal/silver logo/#/names) White/black pinstripe pants. Black undershirt. Black Socks. Black Cleats. Black hats. THAT'S what I want.
October 13, 200321 yr I say wear the " F " jersey in Chicago too They would if they could... Those are home jerseys. But I'm sure they'll go with the grey uni's and not the black again.
October 13, 200321 yr Couldn't they use any jerseys they want as long as they meet MLB requirements and everyone on the team wore them on the field?
October 13, 200321 yr Here is how I would like the Uniforms:Examples Home: Away: Alternate 1: Alternate 2:
