I mean this is something that could linger for awhile if he doesn't give it the proper time off

Hanley Ramirez was limited to one at-bat Tuesday by a strained right groin.

Ramirez said the groin has bothered him for a couple of days now. "It's fine. I just want to make sure everything's OK," Ramirez said. "I wanted to stay in. I was on my way to the field." He'll probably be back in the lineup for Thursday's game.

rest is the best thing. groin injuries could really linger, though it isn't uncommon to play through uncomfort its better not to.

well he is insisting he will play on Thursday, so we'll see what happens

I really hope he doesn't. No sense to take a chance during spring training. Even if he doesn't feel something, doesn't mean something's not wrong.

i wouldn't mess around with this. i sure hope the best for hanley, but if he doesn't take care of this, it could lead to a groin tear fast, and you don't want that. kyle davies was terrible for a while after he came back from groin surgery...so i think your star shortstop needs some time off.

Seriously, rest him for as long as needed and longer. He doesn't have to compete for his job, and we need him at 100%

He says he wants to play on Thursday. Fredi better not put him in the lineup.

i think he knew what happened to davies last year, as his performance went south after the tear, so i bet he keeps him out of the lineup for a few days.
