March 20, 200718 yr Phew... After the first inning I saw him walking over to the clubhouse. That freaked me out. Glad to hear its nothing too serious.
March 20, 200718 yr Author I mean this is something that could linger for awhile if he doesn't give it the proper time off
March 20, 200718 yr Hanley Ramirez was limited to one at-bat Tuesday by a strained right groin. Ramirez said the groin has bothered him for a couple of days now. "It's fine. I just want to make sure everything's OK," Ramirez said. "I wanted to stay in. I was on my way to the field." He'll probably be back in the lineup for Thursday's game.
March 20, 200718 yr rest is the best thing. groin injuries could really linger, though it isn't uncommon to play through uncomfort its better not to.
March 20, 200718 yr well he is insisting he will play on Thursday, so we'll see what happens I really hope he doesn't. No sense to take a chance during spring training. Even if he doesn't feel something, doesn't mean something's not wrong.
March 21, 200718 yr Doesn't sound too bad. He'll probably take a few days off I believe it was Len Kasper who said, "any groin injury is serious". :whistle
March 21, 200718 yr i wouldn't mess around with this. i sure hope the best for hanley, but if he doesn't take care of this, it could lead to a groin tear fast, and you don't want that. kyle davies was terrible for a while after he came back from groin surgery...so i think your star shortstop needs some time off.
March 21, 200718 yr Let Hanley rest til Opening Day, heck send him on vacation to the Keys and send Samson with him as his cabana boy
March 21, 200718 yr Seriously, rest him for as long as needed and longer. He doesn't have to compete for his job, and we need him at 100%
March 21, 200718 yr He says he wants to play on Thursday. Fredi better not put him in the lineup. i think he knew what happened to davies last year, as his performance went south after the tear, so i bet he keeps him out of the lineup for a few days.
