MrAndMrsFish
Florida Marlins first baseman Mike Jacobs went on the 15-day disabled list Thursday with a broken right thumb, and right-hander Byung-Hyun Kim was reinstated from the DL. Jacobs hurt his thumb April 20 and tried to play with the injury, but his average has slipped to .281. The move was retroactive to Monday. Kim went 1-2 with a 10.50 ERA in three relief appearances for Colorado after losing his starting job in spring training, then went on the disabled list with a bruised right thumb. He went 1-1 with a 2.96 ERA in five rehab starts at Triple-A Colorado Springs, then was acquired in a trade Sunday and is scheduled to start Friday at Tampa Bay. Hollyberry
I rather have him on the DL then play with a broken thumb. Broken fingers/thumbs are no fun. I broke my pinky about 5 years ago and it still hurts.
