Posted June 12, 200717 yr Here's a list of the top ten celebs you won't believe are scientologists. I'm most surprised at Nancy Cartwright, you'd think someone that works on the simpsons would just think it's silly. http://www.cracked.com/index.php?name=News&sid=1994
June 12, 200717 yr Most surprised by Seinfeld and Greta Van Susteren. Wonder how accurate that site is. No harm in whatever religion you practice though, so whatever helps people cope is fine with me.
June 12, 200717 yr It's a humor site, seems kind of pointless to make it up though. I wouldn't be shocked if they were. I thought I'd read that Seinfeld was actually. No big deal either way. I'm convinced it's all true & the aliens only reveal the secrets to a few people a year, welcoming them into the wonderful world of Scientology. When the hell am I going to get brought into the fold John Travolta???
June 12, 200717 yr that list is 100% correct - many of them have been in the cult for a while - i'm shocked they even put remini on an "unknown" list - she's been out there for years some are no longer in the cult (at least openly) like seinfeld - but he did have a few year run with it
June 12, 200717 yr It really is nothing more than a cult. They torture their own people, intimidate defectors. They have murdered their own members. They extort money from their own people. Not only that, the crap they believe is just so damn silly. At least Pastaferians dont take themselves too seriously. The Flying Spaghetti Monster is alot coller than anything the scientology loons have come up with anyway.
June 12, 200717 yr Not really sure how people distinguish this as an invalid cultish religion, while other religions are completely accepted.
June 12, 200717 yr Author Not really sure how people distinguish this as an invalid cultish religion, while other religions are completely accepted. The fact it was started by a science fiction writer doesn't help very much.

The fact it was started by a science fiction writer doesn't help very much. And who wrote the books that the other religions are based on? The bible was supposedly written by apostles that followed christ. I'm not sure who wrote all the other ones, and i'm not a religious man myself but I know if I were to go that route I'd choose a religion that's been around for thousands of years as opposed to one that was started in the 50's by a science fiction writer that was probably doped up when he started it.
