TheDon
I don't have a link but I heard today that Schmidt is done for the season. I believe its the elbow. What a heartbreaker for Dodger fans. It was really starting to look like the year they had a legitamate shot at making the World Series. This is a big ouch. check out www.dodgerblues.com for some always funny commentary on a sad day. Ralph
It was his shoulder, same surgery as Sanchez but Schmidts was much worse because they had to do Labrum repair as well as two other procedures to his shoulder.

BIG Z
Dammit. Well he wasn't doing too good this year anyways, 1-4 with a 6.31 era. But anyways hopefully we'll see him back at 100% next year.
Passion
I think I had heard he dropped like 10 mph on his fastball at one point. Scary.
furcalchick
i think that's going to give the division to the padres and start the dodgers yearly second half collapse. try again next year bums! too bad about schmidt though, i think the giants were smart to dump him when he did. Passion
I don't know why the Dodgers' postseason or World Series aspirations would be dashed because of this injury, not as if he was good before.

Its not what he's done so far this season, as much as what he is (was) capable of doing in the 2nd half of the season.
