October 28, 200322 yr I am ticked. Yeah, nothing is enough for me. We won the World Series. No mention after Sunday has been made of it. Nothing on the major shows on ESPN (PTI, Around the Horn). Nothing. Not really a peep. Instead, we hear about the future of the Yankees and the Red Sox firing Grady Little. No one is talking about our team and how good they could be. No one is giving glowing reviews and saying how this team deserves to be World Champions, how they were overlooked ALL postseason - and all season for that matter. Nothing. If the Yankees won, you would not be hearing the end of it. The Marlins blew up the Death Star, they beat up on the Evil Empire and no one is picking it up. Frustrating...
October 28, 200322 yr I watched PTI specifically to see what they said about the Marlins. They had 4 minutes to talk with Gammons, but they only talked about the Yanks and Red Sox. That's a shame.
October 28, 200322 yr To be fair it isn't August and there's a full slate of NFL games and College football rankings to worry about. But, yeah, for all the cr*p they've said over the past three weeks I would have liked more than just Max Kellerman get what was comign to them. Tony Kornheiser and Wilbon, both fair critics of the Marlins, haven't written a baseball article for the Washington Post since the end of the LCS.
October 28, 200322 yr Author now, imagine what the reaction would have been if the Yankees won... it is a shame.... but we still got the title...
October 28, 200322 yr just be grateful you won a world series. My team hasn't won one in 49 years and you guys have won 2 in 11 seasons but we still got the title... exactly. You guys should be grateful that you won a world series, and as for complaining about the negative publicity, who cares? Those people are just jealous of you guys, they're the same people that trash Barry all the time.
October 29, 200322 yr for some reason i have three different yankee ticker-tape parades burned in my memory from all the news coverage over the years
October 29, 200322 yr the only place the marlins need to worry about getting GOOD publicity in is florida. the have plenty of that.
