Browns fired head coach Romeo Crennel.

Unlike his former co-worker Eric Mangini, Crennel can't really complain about his fate. He lost ten or more games three times in four seasons as head coach. Perhaps more damning, Crennel's defense never improved past sub-mediocre. Unlike Mangini, his players like him, but Crennel's game management left a lot to be desired. Crennel figures to get plenty of coordinator offers; he could return to New England.

he will be back in New England as an Assistant Head Coach type position. Sort of like how Parcells brought back Belichick in NY. Only if he comes back.
