April 8, 200915 yr Opening day in the hot sun everyone raving about the new stadium 35,000, tonight walk into the stadium nice cool evening, 12,000, i'm beginning to think it have nothing to do with a stadium, people just talk but don't go to game so they will find any excuse not to go. I don't know if you realize that Tuesday nights in Florida are mad busy. Once we get our stadium in the little havana section where i grew up, people will literally be able to walk on foot to the games.
April 8, 200915 yr only 5,000 show up tonight game i not sure because of cold weather American Idol. Washing their hair
April 8, 200915 yr its a tuesday night game against the nationals. not many people want to see the marlins play the nationals. I was at the game though. anyways, tomorrow's game is going to have even less people. don't worry though, the mets game over the weekend should bring in big numbers.
April 8, 200915 yr I cant wait for tomorrow(meaning later today...or eight and a half hours from now), i thought i would be miserable in the noon heat, but with the weather the way it is it'll be a perfect day for baseball.
April 8, 200915 yr Traditionally the 2nd game of the season gets the worst attendances all around the league.
April 8, 200915 yr If you are really going to compare opening day with a regular old game on a tuesday night then you are a freaking moron.
April 8, 200915 yr Guys remember, not alot of people want to spend $10 on parking $20 to 30 on a ticket x's how many kids you have or even 1 $5 hot dogs $5 nachos People are struggling to pay there rent and car payments... I expect low attendence all year
April 8, 200915 yr People don't go to the stadium cause its a long drive for most people and it's also situated in probably the worst neighborhood in all of Miami. Not to mention the possibility of it being rained out.
April 8, 200915 yr and it's also situated in probably the worst neighborhood in all of Miami. haven't been around the town much? that area is far from the worst.
April 8, 200915 yr There's really no way to get this town interested in baseball without a T-Rex throwing out the first pitch:
April 8, 200915 yr and it's also situated in probably the worst neighborhood in all of Miami. haven't been around the town much? that area is far from the worst. I assume you don't know that Miami Gardens (the area around the stadium) has one of the worst violent crime rates in Miami-Dade.
