Posted June 3, 200915 yr I've always liked Fredi but come on! 1) Bonifacio batting 2nd? He should never bat anything but 8th or bench. He wouldn't bat 1st or 2nd for ANY other major league team. He's awful. 2) Hermida batting in front of Uggla?? Uggla drives in way more runs with a higher OPS always. Hermida is garbage. 3) Our hottest hitter and arguably 2nd best overall player is out of the lineup, Cody Ross? He better be hurt because he should be playing. Enough is enough. BENCH BONIFACIO!
June 3, 200915 yr I'm not a fan of Hermida but he is far from garbage. He is a #6 or #7 hitter at best. We should never expect anything more than 15-20 HRs and .260 avg.
June 3, 200915 yr Author .260 and 15 homers is garbage for a corner outfielder. Those numbers aren't good for a contending team.
June 3, 200915 yr Author Funniest poster of the year. I couldn't agree more. Yawn....another typical Rabbethan response. He's wrong 9 times out of 10. He just cuts up on people with no intelligent analysis of anything. Hermida has 50 K's in 190 ABs. He's pretty bad and will end up a professional 4th outfielder. We missed the window to trade him for anything decent. I hope we don't miss the window to trade Uggla before he ends up a backup.

Wow, will you man up, come back and apologize if we get no hit? Or will you do what you do best, scurry away and make up an excuse to why this is such amazing lineup.....like A) Hermida is batting .267 this year and .267 this year but he's 2 for his last 3 so he's amazing. or B) Carroll just played a great game. Cody Ross just played a great game. But let's start De Aza because he's hitting .333 this season. or C) You're stupid WildMarlinMan. You're so stupid. Which excuse will you use for being wrong again?
June 4, 200915 yr If Uggla and Hermida switched spots, we would have had three LHBs in a row. Not Fredi-like.

Heh, you're funny. I still don't know if even you know what you're talking about about how I'm constantly wrong. My response to you wasn't about the lineup, which I constantly argue against, it was "Hermida is garbage" and "Cody Ross is our second best player."
June 4, 200915 yr Author If Uggla and Hermida switched spots, we would have had three LHBs in a row. Not Fredi-like. Thank you. That is an intelligent view.

My response to you wasn't about the lineup, which I constantly argue against, it was "Hermida is garbage" and "Cody Ross is our second best player." Hermida's path right now is headed to becoming a backup. The evidence is right in front of you. He K's more than 1/4 of the time. Ross is our 3rd best hitter behind Ramirez and Cantu. He is easily 1st or 2nd best defensively. That makes him one of our top 2 overall players.

June 4, 200915 yr Who would actually spend money on a Bonifacio shirt? And did the cashiers have to hold back a tide of laughter when ringing it up?

Ross is our 3rd best hitter behind Ramirez and Cantu. He is easily 1st or 2nd best defensively. That makes him one of our top 2 overall players. Cody Ross is not our 3rd best hitter. Besides being ridiculously streaky, he's both a low batting average and a low OBP guy, both of which are lower than Senor Garbage, Jeremy Hermida (I'll get back to him). Yeah, when he's in CF he's easily the best defensive player in our lineup, but he's been pretty bad in RF, which is where he's been playing most of this year. Also, love how you say that I must be calling Hermida not garbage because of 3 games, yet you are calling Cody Ross our 3rd best hitter. Fantastic. Also, Hermida, despite having the second most Ks on the team, still has the second best OBP on the team, behind some dude named Hanley. Also second on the team in walks. He's hardly on the road to "being a backup".
June 4, 200915 yr 1. Hermida has the 2nd highest OBP on the team and is above average so he would be starting on most major league teams. 2. Cody is not our hottest hitter that is Hanley and is not even in the top 3 hitter catagory as he is one of our streakiest hitter. Hanley, Cantu, Uggla/Hermida 3. Bonerfagio has done pretty well in the 2 spot behind Coghlan who is getting on base alot.

June 4, 200915 yr Author Wanna make a ban for life bet that in 3 years Hermida will be ona major league bench somewhere? Beginning of 2012....he isn't good at all. And Hermida is NOT getting better. He's getting worse.

(And yes, I know Uggla has been pretty damn bad this year, I'm trying to hit it on a whole.(that's what she said))

You come here and laugh and now you are backpedling faster than crazy and trying to come up with another Marlin who's a better hitter than Ross! lol Uggla is not a better hitter than Ross. Ross could be a .300 hitter if he wasn't streaky. If the game was on the line, I'd rather have Ross up than Uggla or Baker. Look, Uggla is a hacker. Not a hitter. He is declining and we should trade him ASAP. Baker, I like the guy, will wear down as the season goes. Like scouts say, he will end up a career .250 guy with a few walks. Hardly better than Ross.
