I remember a woman who was in a quarter million dollars of credit card debt from her shopping addiction did this and paid off her debt. The problem is nowadays it doesn't work as well. Oh, unless your name is Dustin Diamond,you were on Saved by the Bell, your house is up for foreclosure, and you tell your fans that if you have a 10 inch appendage.

I also remember a kid that wanted help paying for college. The difference is that those people had some cause and a back story of some kind(not that having a shopping addiction and a lot of debt makes you worthy of charity). In this case it is just some guy wanting people to give him a dollar just because he wants it. I suppose if he makes any money from this, more power to him, but I just can't see anybody giving him any amount of money just because he's on the Internet asking for it(or in this case using the lame excuse of a "social experiment"). It may have been a novel concept a few years ago, but like you said, it has been done, and people just aren't willing to part with money, even a single dollar, these days like they would have five or ten years ago.

Id sooner give my money to some alcoholic than to him.
August 10, 200915 yr I would normally donate to a person in need but what had happened was, McDonald's has this thing for .49 cent hamburgers on Wednesday's and I used it on that. I also won a free apple pie! Good Luck on your, um experiment and keep us updated with how much money you do or don't make.
