The Amount of time spent with the Fish Doesnt Matter, Just the Impact he made. I Know Hanley locks down SS, Maybe pudge or Charles Johnson for C. But i have only been a have since 1996 so a little help is needed.

Second base could probably be Castillo. Dans close though.

That looks about right. What do you think abotu Moises Alou. He was one of our key hitters in the postseason of 97. Hard to take out Sheffield though

Connine in LF, D Lee at 1st, Lowell at 3rd, You can say Pudge at Cather, Hanley hasn't really won anything with the fish but he is a great player you can also go with Renteria with what he did in 1997 season and playoffs and the world series heroics of Alex Gonzalez.

Here's what I'd go with.

C- Pudge/C.J.

1B- Lee

2B- Castillo

3B- Lowell

SS- Hanley/Renteria/Gonzalez

RF- Sheffield

CF- Carr/White/Pierre

LF- Conine

Pitchers- Kevin Brown, Josh Beckett, Livan Hernandez, Brian Harvery, Jay Powell Rob Nenn, and Ugeth Urbina(Theres so many more that others will name but these are players of the top of my head.

Well at one point he could have gone on the list. but since time has passed by, other guys have become key or bigger pieces, he has become expendable, in the year 2002 and before, he would have been included, am going with defense, and hitting here, Cabrera secures his spot.

He was solid aswell you should throw him in there and how he got robbed of a Cy Young in I believe it was in 2005. Same with Kevin Brown in 1996.

I forgot about Edgar and Im torn between him and HanRam. Without question, Hanley is the better overall player. But the goals Renteria acclomplished here are unmatchable.

One thing about Edgar, he was one hell of a defensive force, and a great contact hitter too, but you can't forget Hanley. He is the better player hands down.

They are if Hanley gets us a world series and an MVP award but I agree with you that Edgar's accomplishments as a Marlin are great.

Maybe you write about both?

What happened to Mike Piazza for catcher?

Piazza did nothing for this team in the week or so he was here. Personally I would go with CJ over Pudge.

CJ won 3 GGs here (I believe the first to do so as a Marlin),was an AS, helped us win the Series in '97 by setting MLB records for consecutive games without an error or passed ball, and was a local boy (Ft Pierce) that was the team's first ever draft pick (out of The U). Pretty impressive Marlins bio.

Although he helped us win a WS in '03, Pudge signed a 1 year contract with us and made it known it was because he wanted to show he could stay healthy for an entire season (he hadn't been able to do that in previous recent years) and that he could contribute to a team. It was well known if the opportunity presented itself he would go for the $$$ after that season. It did, and he did.

And I would question whether Cabrera should being included in the OF. I know he was a fav of most, but... However, seeing 3B should go to Lowell, I guess Miggy should be included someplace.

Let me give it a crack.
