dim
Nice to see the team has some fight left in them. And the Phillies are f*cked with Lidge in the playoffs.
ultimopain
Awesome comeback! Suck sh*t, Lidge. Kudos to Fredi for making the right moves - pinch hitting Gaby, Gload and Carroll at the right times.
Sirspud
Nice win. I didn't see it all but I did see the good parts. We need a couple more like this and we'll need some help.
Hotcorner
Freddi was fired up there in the 9th. Our bench rocked tonight.
Rabbethan
That was awesome. Pure and plain awesome. Bad umpiring? No problem, we did that sh*t. Man, it was so great I started laughing out of happiness.

Blackru_fish
I think Hanley showed great character and patience in that last at-bat. I mean his calls were terrible and he just stayed in there. Well done team. :thumbup
fishfan25
what a great win for this team. show that they wont go down without a fight. and i dont care what anybody says, you gotta love brett carroll. #25 in your programs, but definitly near the top in your hearts. heat84
Closers role overrated :lol What happened to him anyway? Has everyone just figured him out? He had the umpire in his pocket and he still blew it.
Rabbethan
Closers role overrated :lol How does that prove that it isn't? If it had been Lidge in the 8th and he blew the game then, would it matter? A bad pitcher is a bad pitcher.
gizmo
Also, take note ESPN. Marlins games are full of excitement. Maybe you'll reconsider how many Fish games you want to show next season.

He had the umpire in his pocket and he still blew it. Remember, he was "Light Out Lidge" until this before sucking for a few years in Houston. He then went to Philly, had a good year, and then reverted right back to Lidge. He's got a case of the nerves, I think.
Someguy150
That was awesome. I said "thank you, Cantu" over and over. They really needed to get past those bad strike calls, and they did. And then the walk off hit... wow, that was great.
MichelleBelle311
Ok, so when Cantu batted in Gload and got Hanley to 3rd and Hanley pointed at Cantu and he pointed back........I may or may not have teared up.....

Midaz101
Man i am so glad i at least got to see the 9th, what a win! I really liked the fact that Freddi went out there and stuck up for Baker, and BC coming up huge for the team is always a pleasure to see. He didn't pitch the 8th so it doesn't matter. Just goes to show you that perfection one year doesn't equal perfection the next....could that mean that players are human? Either way good win and the closers role wasn't overrated tonight, that is if you were a phillies fan.
ultimopain
Sorry if this is a bit off-topic but this thought just popped into my head thinking about his game-winning at-bat and his other clutch hits for us this year. Is anyone else really excited about the prospect of Brett Carroll winning the RF job out of spring training next year? Assuming Coghlan switches back to the infield: Ross - LF Maybin - CF Carroll - RF Best defensive outfield in the league? He has had some amazing clutch hits for us this year, and he's starting to show his power too. Really hopeful that he gets a shot and puts it all together. waxheaven
That was an awesome ending. I remember being laughed at for suggesting Brett get some playing time instead of Cameron Maybin early in the season. I guess all your saber metrics didn't help because Brett is one day going to be an everyday player and Cameron is STILL a bum.
blaze2ki
Carroll should have already been in the starting lineup all year this year. Its the same thing with Ross a few years ago. They are afraid to play him everyday or something, i dunno.

Meanwhile it's been forever and guys like Hermida still stink it up all season long.
