mountainfish
Ireland v France Portugal v Bosnia Greece v Ukraine Russia v Slovenia Think the seedings had anything to do with FIFA wanting to make sure Ronaldo makes it to the World Cup? The good news for Bosnia is that Portugal has played lousy at home during the qualifying. I think the Irish got the raw end of things but as erratic as France has been they still have a shot. Greece and Ukraine should be an interesting battle.

Schnellders
We now know the 32 teams that will be playing in South Africa next summer: Australia Japan North Korea South Korea Algeria Cameroon Ghana Ivory Coast Nigeria South Africa Honduras Mexico USA Argentina Brazil Chile Paraguay Uruguay New Zealand Denmark England France Germany Greece Holland Italy Portugal Serbia Slovakia Slovenia Spain Switzerland Last night in the playoffs, Ireland were flat out robbed by France as Thierry Henry handled the ball twice before passing to Gallas to score the crucial goal in extra time. But the likes of Platini and Blatter will love it. Also a shock that Russia were knocked out by Slovenia.
Das Texan
The French are a bunch of dirty cheaters and flat out robbed the Irish. I swear the refs had to be in on that also, based on the post match comments.

I swear the refs had to be in on that also, based on the post match comments. Well at least Henry admitted it was a handball and that the fair thing to do would be to replay the match, even thought that won't happen. That one is on the refs, like Henry said, he knows it was a handball but it's not his job to call the game, he kept playing like anyone else would have. Schnellders
Considering I live in Europe I don't know much about the history and the demise of Yugoslavia and Russia, to create a ton of other countries.
mountainfish
World Cup Draw I dont think a bad draw for the US. 2nd in the group would be reasonable. Brazil may have the toughest group of the top seeds.

France probably has the easiest group but they've been inconsistent so it might be challenging for them.

It will be a huge disappointment if the US don't advance out of group with the draw they got. Slovenia was arguably one of the weakest teams out of that pot and Algeria is a joke. In fact, outside of France's group it is the weakest draw IMO.

Now granted it wouldnt surprise me if the US choked against one of the weaker teams but on paper you cant say Slovenia is a better team. As for France...I think they must have naked pictures of Sepp Blatter with a donkey or something because they have had a path to the finals practically paved for them by FIFA. From unfair seedings to hand balls to easiest draw...this team didnt deserve to get through qualifying much less in to the WC.
Schnellders
I was gutted to see that England got such an easy draw. I support whoever plays England anyway, but I have extra incentive with Maurice Edu and DaMarcus Beasley being American and Madjid Bougherra being Algerian. The sooner England go out the better. Looking forward to the Brazil-Portugal-Ivory Coast matches.
