Puma
Rangers signed designated hitter Vladimir Guerrero to a one-year, $5 million contract with a 2011 mutual option. Guerrero, 34, batted just .295/.334/.460 in 2009 with 15 home runs and 50 RBI in 383 at-bats with the Angels last season and is a serious injury risk. That said, the price was right and the risk is low for the Rangers. Guerrero will take over designated duties in Arlington, where he boasts a .394/.471/.705 batting line in 50 career games. The move relegates David Murphy to a fourth outfielder role.

Schnellders
The AL West could be a pretty interesting race next year as the Angels have lost a lot of significant players, Texas is on the up and Seattle have signed a load of players. I have the Mariners as favourites at this time.
