Admin
He was the one to go to open the 40-man spot needed today.
MarlinsLou
He's rumored to be having Tommy John surgery and has been on the AAA disabled list. This reminds me of Trahern. He might still stick with the organization, but his arm is just clearly not where it needs to be.
Marlins2003
Well it makes sense, being on the NOLA DL and awaiting word on possible Tommy John surgery (which I assume the Marlins would still be on the hook for considering the injury ocurred while he was still on the Marlins 40 man roster). FutureGM
Well at least I had zero expectations that he would really contribute once that Hermida trade was announced.

BroncoBob27
Well it makes sense, being on the NOLA DL and awaiting word on possible Tommy John surgery (which I assume the Marlins would still be on the hook for considering the injury ocurred while he was still on the Marlins 40 man roster). I would have to think so. He was on the 40 man when he went on the DL. And he is still on the AAA roster, even if it is the DL. Are we not responsible for guys that signed contracts with us but are on minor league rosters? I would think insurance would pick up the mjority of the tab anyways. BroncoBob27
Beinfest said we have offered to re-sign Jones next season. If he has TJ then he most likely won't pitch next season. So this would be a "let's wait, see, and hope" type signing. Not a bad idea.
CYmarlins
there is still an outside chance that he pitches next year. wish him the best in his surgery if it is in fact TJ.
