gizmo
Gaby does need to be taken out of the 3rd spot. He was excelling batting 2nd. It's actually not that bad of an idea,
SixYearItch
Morrison Gaby Hanley Uggla Stanton Ross Murphy Paulino No more Helms, no more Gaby hitting 3rd! [/quote I'd hit Ross at 7th, I'd play Tracy at 3rd and bat him 6th and whoever the catcher is I'd bat him 8th it doesn't matter. First 5 I'm good to go with and would bat them in the exact order you have them.
Marlins Phenom
No. why not? Gaby is not a #3 hitter!

I Love Me Some Fish
Any lineup that will produce a hit with RISP is fine by me.

LordMagnus
I don't think it really matters unless Hanley starts to hit like he's capable of The good thing is I do think this playing time is invaluable for Morrison and Stanton.

Hammerhead
Morrison Gaby Hanley Uggla Stanton Ross Murphy Paulino No more Helms, no more Gaby hitting 3rd! Considering Paulino's July and August and the fact that he's not as good defensively, I'd almost rather have Hayes starting now. Other than that, I'm for it. dim
No. Why no? I like it better than what we have now. Morrison should never be even considered to bat leadoff at any point in his career. I am completely against any lineup that begins with Morrison on top. He's a prototypical #2 or #5 hitter. Putting him leadoff is just an absolute insult to his skill set. Come little kid, i know you have a man crush on Maybin, but that "top prospect" we got for MIGUEL CABRERA cant play defense or hit MLB pitching! Yup we sure should run him out there! Morrison's main skill is getting on base. I don't see how it's such a horrible idea. Maybe in the future when he develops some more power it won't be bad, but it's not as if he's putting up the slugging #'s right now/not as if he projects to be an awesome power bat. He also has average to above average speed. I think it's average combined with great hustle at all times, but either way...he's not a bad option to hit 1st right now, imo.
