Anonymous
Yea, Erick is on a roll. It's because of his hot streak I feel Miller will go 7 strong innings tomorrow, striking out 10 batters.

Kazaki
I hope Badenhop/Sanches is ready. Maybe Hensley can throw in some long relief. Ohman should be good to go too. Veras should also be prepared to step up his game. I wonder if Nunez can pitch two innings. Whoever gets called up also needs to warm up. He's thrown 3 of the last 4 nights, and he's thrown 73 pitches in those 3 games. It's doubtful he goes one, and no way in hell he goes two. He never goes two when he's fresh, anyway. MrMarlinPride
World series here we come! Hope the pen is ready to go tomorrow. Clay and Leo should be off limits but that means we have Sanches, Veras, Badenhop and Ohman to use.

Clay and Leo should be off limits but that means we have Sanches, Veras, Badenhop and Ohman to use. Why would Hensley be off limits? Over the past week: 8/14: 1 inning, 11 pitches 8/17: 1 inning, 19 pitches 8/19: .1 inning, 4 pitches 8/21: 1 inning, 14 pitches He'll be ready to go. The only question mark is Leo. Oh i thought Clay went a full inning rather then 1/3 against Pit in the Sanabia start. Yeah he should be able to close if needed. I doubt Leo goes again tomorrow after his 30+ pitch outing tonight. It's funny though he threw way more fastballs then he did changeups tonight, did anyone else notice this.

It was ahahaha he had fouled off back to back changeups and he went with the 1-2 slider and it was a good one.
pollythewog
why was nunez even in with a 4 run lead?
Erick
why was nunez even in with a 4 run lead? Because Edwin pretty much knows he'll have to use Burke Badenhop and Brian Sanches tomorrow. Probably for more than an inning, too. That's also why he probably let Volstad hit in the 6th, hoping he'd get through the 7th inning. By his postgame comments, you can tell that not even Edwin is confident with Andrew Miller tomorrow. He basically said that 5 innings would be great. Schnellders
Takes till near the end of August to get our first 5 game winning streak, yikes! On the other hand, we havent really had a long losing streak either have we?
