Cantu is hitting .250/.302/.300 with the rangers. Damn he sucks.

I think Cantu was leaved when his values were almost lowest, so no one can care about him.

Poor Cantu.

Marlins took a nice gamble on Cantu.

He wasnt in the future plans (thankfully) and they may have gotten a pitcher that has a chance to succeed at the major league level unlike most of the clowns on the major league staff currently.

I don't take any pleasure in Cantu's struggles. I'm really rooting for the guy.

Same here. Id love for him to be awesome once again. Cantu was great, and was a great person too.

Sucks to see him struggle. I always really liked him

His April's were great. Nothing about his career suggests he's a "great" player.

Ive got nothing to complain about with 2 seasons of + .275 batting and + .800 OPS along with 45 HRs and 200 RBIs. That's great, maybe not a superstar, but good enough for me to be called great.

He was a very pleasant surprise for just being a spring training pie in the sky guy a few years ago.

get over it dude. cantu is a class act, had some nice years with us and moved on. would be nice if you did too

I wish Cantu the best.

Cantu's .OPS #'s here...

2008: .808 .OPS

2009: .788 .OPS

2010: .719 .OPS

Combine that with his terrible defensive play, specifically at 3B, and he wasn't great here.

I wish him the best too, but that's a very replaceable "starter." Not great.

From what we expected of him, he played great.

What I originally quoted simply said "Cantu was great;" not "Cantu was great for what was expected of him."

if i have to sit through cantu arguments again, ill claw my eyes out

These guys make Tenacious D look like, well, just "D".

Their arguments last longer than Everlasting Gobstoppers.

This time, they won't stop until after the heat death of the universe.

I want a long, drawn-out, hair-splitting, obnoxious fight. Now let's get it on!!!!

Well of course it looks bad when you use 2010 because he flat out sucked this year. Notice I said 2 seasons... I dont know why anybody would call this season great.

(.808 + .788)/2 = ? ,798 ~ .800

One season he had over, one season he had under. I gave him the benefit with the +.808.

Anybody who completely exceeds expectations like that, and puts up those kind of numbers is great. I really dont care about your opinion in this situation my friend, it seems to me that all you want to do is argue for the sake of arguing, and trying to pick out specific choices of wording in my text. Calm down.

From what we expected of him, he played great.

What I think is you like to disect peoples writing a bit too much, and you read into things way too much. Just because I didnt etch it into stone doesnt mean that this was not what I meant. Cantu. Was. Great.
