Erick
I'd have no problem with Edwin Rodriguez coming back. My 2nd choice would be Tony Pena. I don't think Ozzie Guillen would be a good fit here, at all. If he would've been here at the time of the Hanley issue earlier this year, things would've gotten insane. I like Tony Pena because I remember what he did in 2003, specifically at the beginning of the year that year. That team was exciting to watch, and overachieving, greatly. He's an energetic guy, and I think he'd fit in well with the Latin community/Latin players on the team, as well. He also has more experience now with Girardi and the Yankees, so I think he'd be a solid fit. I still think Edwin should comeback, though. I like what he's done. Puma
Not sure if his name has been connected, but I think he would be a good fit. Gary Carter- Head Coach, Palm Beach Atlantic University 19-year MLB Player Hall of Fame c/o 2003 11x All Star 3x Gold Glove Award Winner 1986 World Series Champion with Mets Served as a broadcast analyst for the Marlins (1993-1996) Managed in the Mets minor league system (2005-2006) where he won Manager of the Year twice Managed independent league Orange County Flyers (2008) and Long Island Ducks (2009) Currently Head Coach at Palm Beach Atlantic University Resides in Palm Beach Gardens

FutureGM
I'm a bit surprised that a guy like Eric Wedge still doesn't have a job after being fired from the Indians. He proved in Cleveland that he could manage a young team, and I wonder why he doesn't have a job. Not necessarily saying he should manage the Marlins, but he's certainly available. Bob Melvin's still out there somewhere too. How ridiculous is it that both Managers of the Year from 2007 were fired within 2 years? And talking about great managerial jobs from 2007, what about Clint Hurdle? It should be noted there are going to be a ton of opening this upcoming year: Need a new manager Blue Jays Braves Cubs Diamondbacks Mariners Marlins Might need a new managers Athletics (if they fire Geren) Brewers (if they fire Macha) Mets (if they fire Manuel) Reds (if Dusty leaves) St. Louis (if LaRussa leaves) White Sox (if Ozzie leaves) Yankees (if Girardi goes to the Cubs)
FutureGM
The Reds MIGHT need a new manager. Although with the Dodgers thing seemingly settled I think it's pretty unlikely. Also I'm pretty sure Geren got an extension a few weeks back, so he's not going anywhere.

enterthemadness
I say give Edwin a full season and actually set him up to win. If no playoffs under Edwin in 2011, then get somebody who can. If no Edwin in 2011, go with Bobby V.

MrMarlinPride
Torre is the Phil Jackson of Baseball(overrated). What the Marlins need it the Pat Riley of baseball. Ahahaaha that's funny. If the Marlins somehow magically get Joe Torre as out manager I'd cry tears of joy almost as much as I cried when the Heat got Lebron, Bosh and Wade. Erick
Phil Jackson is overrated. The reason he has so many rings is because basketball is a game highly impacted by stars, and he's gotten the opportunity to "coach" the best player in the league...twice. Not to mention the great talents around Jordan/Kobe, as well.
Anonymous
Phil Jackson isn't over rated. You still have to do something with those great talents, and Jackson did...11 times.
Iowa
I don't think Hanley would have ever got to that place if Ozzie was here. He would have been put in his place much before that. An Ozzie-Hanley relationship would be great, imo. Ozzie, no question in my mind. No other manager would create more buzz for the fish in miami. Give me a break.. this statement, is and always will be,one of the most asinine, ridiculous statements ever. I thought you were smarter than that. dim
Joe Torre is overrated. And I would rather jump off a 100 story building than be subjected to a manager who was a player on the '86 Mets.
