That's a shame. I was in Cooperstown in 07 when he got inducted to the HOF. Wish him well in his efforts to combat the disease.

it's 2010. people are aware of the risks of dipping.

Sad to hear, but he pretty much did this to himself if it is in fact due to him dipping throughout his career. Another reason why it should be banned in the bigs.

 

Why must it be banned? The risks are known. Let people take personal responsibility and make that decision for themselves.

Meh. No doubt. But some people could use a little "scared straight." Ever seen a man with his lower jaw missing because it had to be removed due to cancer? I don't think most people have.
