Schnellders
From Rotoworld: Chris Volstad underwent LASIK eye surgery this offseason. Volstad said Wednesday in Marlins camp that his vision is at 20/25 and improving. That should only help him on the mound this season. The right-hander turned in an 11-9 record, 4.58 ERA and 1.41 WHIP in 2010 and the Fish are expecting a big jump from him in 2011. Every little helps yeh? Michael
Ohh, is THAT why he gave up so many home runs?
gizmo
Well, thats it. Now my expectations are sky high. Volstad will have an ERA under 3 and only walk 30 batters.
Schnellders
The last pitcher I remember to have LASIK surgery in the offseason on our roster, was 5-1 with a 3.56 ERA after 8 starts. Thought it didn't end up very good.....

popeyethesailor
Ohh, is THAT why he gave up so many home runs? He only gave up 17 home runs this year. Your confusing him with Nolasco

Your confusing him with Nolasco That is not good and barely acceptable, especially combined with the 29 the year before in 159 IP.

Iowa
I think the 24 year old (24!) will build on his improved play at the end of last season and have a nice year.

Nolasco 157 inns and 24 homers this past year is unacceptable esp at his salary level.
