Just a rumor NO facts, but it appears "IF" this Kotsay deal to Oakland dies. Pudge could be heading to San Diego for a visit and more. As we know Kotsay was trade for Ramon Hernandez and Terrance Long. The rumor is San Diego WON"T GO 5 for 50mil but could go 4 for 42mil which is what Pudge is looking for a muti-year deal. AGAIN this is just a rumor right now!!!..so tell Beinfest's kid(Dums or whatever)to put a cork in it before he starts trying to bust my balls :lol

wow, that's a very smart point... it didn't even occur to me. that HAS to be a negotiating ploy. that's the perfect way to say "you have to talk to my agent" because businessmen always love the chance to negotiate in person with a weaker party. that totally has to be his excuse to keep the marlins from attempting to guilt him into signing something. with boras in control, he can easily play hardball up until dec. 7.

Honestly, to me, it's about the name on the front of the jersey, not the name on the back. There's obviously players on this team I like a lot and would hate to see go, but Pudge just isn't one of them. I didn't like him before he got here and I won't like him when he leaves.

 

As for when he was here, well, like I said, it's the name on the front, not the back, so I fully supported him just like the rest of the Fish.

Pudge sure as hell didnt take a 'hometown' discount last year...even though people want to make like he did.

 

 

We overpaid last year which is what I said when he signed...but it was worth it.

 

 

Pudge will not get 10 million a year again. The only team offering close last year was Baltimore and I believe that was about 3 million less than us.

 

Whereever Pudge ends up I wish him well....if its with us..then cool. If not then so be it. He has to do what he thinks is best for him...and so does this organization.

I understand that the Marlins don't exactly seem to be making any moves right now to keep him, but Pudge isn't exactly taking the first step either.

 

 

If he likes it here so much, he could have easily gone down to management by now and started working out a deal without Scott Boras...but I haven't seen that yet.
