I know most of us are in agreement with this, but I really love what he is doing. He's not afraid to shake things up on a nightly basis to try to get different results.

As the old Ben Franklin (or was it Einstein?) quote says: The definition of insanity is changing nothing and expecting different results.

Glad to see Edwin isn't insane. I hope to see him in the dugout in April 2012.

Then again, nightly shakeups arent always the answer. Its needed occassionally but on a nightly basis is just using inconsistency in the worst possible ways.

Actually, just to clarify, that quote wasn't from Ben Franklin nor Einstein... it was Javier Vazquez.

That proves that Spolestra IS insane. He did nothing to Counter the Mavs zone defense but expected the Heat to be better against it.

I just wish he'd move Stanton up and put Gaby behind him. Stanton needs protection.

Putting crap in a different order won't make the whole lineup less stinky.

Our offense is struggling because Mikey needs a rubber?

A piece of sh*t by any other name is still a piece of sh*t

This and your Sig!

ROFL, Edwin is desperate...(it just might work tho). Someone on here mentioned this the other day too.

A more drastic way to maximize Choate is to play him in the outfield for a batter or two. If a team spaces out its left-handed hitters, Rodriguez would consider pitching Choate against a lefty, and then moving him to the outfield if a right-handed batter were at the plate. Then, Rodriguez would go back to using him on the mound for a lefty.

"I've told him to take fly balls in the outfield," Rodriguez said. "I'd keep him in the outfield for a batter or two. We're struggling."

Haha i saw Lou Pinella pull that trick a few years back with the Cubs... I'd take it right now. It'd be amusing to watch

When do we decide the shake-ups are not working and go with Plan B? (And what is Plan B?)

Shake up's or scrambling to do something to find a win? Nothing seems effective yet, so I guess he can keep grabbing players off the scrap heap e.g Lopez, Wise and hope that the team gets better.
