Has any team ever gone oh-fer the whole month?

Man, this team is killing me. They are now playing with such low intensity I feel like throwing bricks through my TV. Can they please wake up?

I hate when people say the reason for losses is lack of intensity. They are hustling and trying, that's clear as day. When people say that, it's as if they think all a team needs to do is "show intensity" and they'd go 162-0.

Most losses for an NL team in a month is 27, last done by the 1939 Philadelphia Phillies. MLB record is 29 set by the 1909 Washington Senators.

Yeah you have a point lack of focus, confidence, etc.. have nothing to do with it, lets clap as they get their asses handed to them again. Are they gettting solid wood on the ball with men in scoring position, no they godamn stirke out more than half the time against good or bad pitching. Don't defend this utter display of garbage, it's not bad luck anymore or whatever else convenient excuse you want to invent. This is on them, get heads out of ass and play like your lives depended on it! Some effing emotion would be nice, knock players down at the plate, run every ball out...this team is just mailing it in. Seriously, they have the talent to compete, but not with the attitudes they approach every game now. As soon as they go down a couple of runs you can see that look in their eyes, this is like 9 f***ing Lebrons every damn night. WTH???

They are trying. Broadcasters notice it, scouts have mentioned it. Most people can see it with their own eyes. They are running out grounders, making hustle catches and you can see they are into the games completely. The losses are NOT due to lack of effort and I have seen no players quit.

They were trying like 10 games ago, they are not hustling or bringing it every night now ( Morrison maybe) , cmon are we really going to defend this bulls***. What's the reason then??? The alternative to lack of effort is we are the worse effing team in MLB, do you believe that? There is something obviously wrong with this team. Before they sent Cogs I saw a signficant lack of intensity and focus at the plate, and how can every pitcher in the major leagues be Cy Young caliber. How?

We swing at balls and watch strikes right down the middle of the plate very consistently as a team. WTH is that about? This team is doing a lot wrong isn't it obvious by now.

I mean pitchers knocking down batters , the opposing teams just swing off their heels with impunity.

I'm just saying enough with the woe is us mentality , this team needs a fire lit up their ass, the gentle stroking is not working.

How can you guys not be at a boiling point, I seriously feel ill watching them play, enough is enough. They are playing aweful.

Why is it when things are going bad, it's an "intensity" thing? It can't just be the fact that the team is averaging only 3 runs a game and giving up over 6.6 runs a game? It's bad baseball, not lack of effort.

This isn't a manager thing. This isn't a hitting coach thing. This isn't a lack of talent thing. This is just players not hitting as well as they are capable of hitting, pitchers not pitching as well as they are capable of pitching. Your franchise SS getting injured and performing horribly. Your best pitcher (and possibly best pitcher in baseball) getting seriously injured. And to top it all off, we lost 10 of 11 on a homestand.

Stop with the lack of effort BS. It's lack of results, lack of production, lack of good luck in the health department, not some BS media crap that is thrown around every time a team struggles.

I love that the media brainwashes people so much. It's amazing how much television and print media impacts how people interpret different events.

Tonight is the first night I've truly noticed a lack of effort...from Hanley Ramirez. Aside from that, they're just not executing.

Yeah, no one here is beyond pissed off.

Should we be worried?
