Hanley is hitting near .350 since Jack has moved him into the number 4 spot.

Guess that ends the discussion of where Hanley is best off, Jack knows.

Happy to see he can still be useful at something.

Well he is Mr. Superstar after all! :lol

Only 34 ABS, but he does seem to be back.

Our star fish!

The second HR was a much better sign than the first.

He's actually hit left-handed pitching well all year; watching him hit the HR against the submarining righty was much more impressive, considering how attrocious he's been against right-handed pitching.

Its clearly a confidence thing with Hanley. Putting him fourth makes him feel truly important to this team, and he thrives on that. Thats really it.

wow, lot of negativity in here. Let the guy play it out. Its not his fault alone that we went from top til bottom in a month.

I like Jacks moves. Always keeping the guys on theirs tows.

Average back to .230. Slowly but surely, Hanley is improving!

I was thinking the same thing. That was the swing that's been missing right there.

When he shows he can hit late and clutch consistently, then I'll be less skeptical

No, but it's certainly the biggest reason.

He had a DL stint in June, how was he to blame during that over two week period?

He's our best player, and he's got a .673 .OPS playing horrible defense. He's the biggest reason for the struggles. Front offices build teams with expectations for each individual player, and Hanley's been the biggest underachiever on the team this year. It never helps when your best player underachieves miserably.

He was playing just as poorly when we were in 2nd place. The original poster said he's not the reason we went from top to bottom.

The other players came back to life.

Hanley never did.

Erick the big question is now, how does Jack get him to completely turn it around? I have seen Hanely play better as of late, at least his bat has been better, so lets give him some more time, before we play the "season was crap" blame game and make Hanley the big winner.

We had a span where we have lost 15 of 16 one run games. This is Hanley's fault?

It has nothing to do with Jack.

And I can't predict the future; I can only tell you what has happened so far, and so far Hanley Ramirez is the biggest reason why we suck as bad as we do. He plays up to his normal standards, and it's likely a .500 team right now.

Look at the season #'s, a lot of the other guys have performed to expectations.

Maybe if he would've produced like his normal-self, we would've gotten some more runs to win some of those one-run games. Y'know...since the problem for the majority of those games was the offense and he's the guy who was supposed to carry this offense.

Trying to assign blame for 1-15 in one run games is really silly.

He is a big reason so far, but if we do put together some wins by the end of July all is not lost, and maybe it will bode well for next year. Jack hopefully can get Hanley's head on straight by April 2012 we'll be a greatly improved team just with that alone for next year.

You're a f***ing stubborn dumbass.

The guy's .OPS is over 200 points less than his career average.

If you had to pin the largest portion of the blame on somebody on this team, who would it be? Who's the biggest underachiever on the team? This is all I'm trying to say.

Not to mention that his sh*tty defense has also played a part in losing some of those one-run games.

One-run games aren't all about luck. It's not as if the players don't control some of the things on the baseball field in a game.

You've cried so much about this team's sh*tty luck, and continue to ignore the fact that the team is now nearing a -60 run differential after this loss. They f***ing suck, and Hanley Ramirez has been the leader of the suck. He was supposed to be our best player, and he's easily been one of the worst.

That person you responded to said "it's not his fault we went from top to bottom in a month."

He missed half of those games. We lost 15 games in that month by one run. He's absolutely not the reason we went from top to bottom in a month.
