Can't say I have, although both of my cousins have worked for Apple.

Apple would be a great company to work for, it was kinda who I wanted to come up with when I was younger and a computer geek/ graphics guy.

 

Oddly enough I will say I was able to do more graphic wise on a Windows computer than my MacBook Pro.

 

Anyway good luck if you're going in for a job interview.

I'm a newspaper designer, and in my experience, Macs are generally much better than PCs. I wish we used Macs where I work.

 

But if you're comparing a desktop to a laptop, then obviously the desktop is better.

 

My iMac is awesome for design.

What graphic programs do you use Bob? i'm assuming CS4 or CS5 Photoshop as your basic program?

 

 

I have a MacBook Pro now and although I don't do graphic designing as much maybe you know of some programs I can get for free or cheap. I am thinking about experimenting again.

 

I could probably research this myself, but curious if you know of anything off the top of your head.

 

I had Windows in it's peak years (right before Mac came along) and many of the software programs were free or could be downloaded.

Don't have much experience outside of the Creative Suite and various newspaper specific programs, so I can't really help much there. But the Creative Suite is the way to go, it's the industry standard.

thanks for the feedback y'all. Second group interview is on monday; hopefully it goes well. Really surprised at the thorough nature of their hiring process. I think maybe the TSA should take notes lol.

bobob what newspaper? I did alot of newspaper in college/highschool and wrote for the Alligator briefly in Gainesville. I made the front page of that one too..lol
