FloridaMarlinsForever
After He gets a hit, He does that thing with his hand and points into the seats, who is he pointing to?
Admin
Another unique thing Ramirez is doing: Looking into the seats and waving his hand up and down behind his head. It’s something he does to signal his mother, who now is back in the Dominican Republic. Ramirez said he noticed that a youngster who comes to every game and sits by the dugout started doing the same thing back to him. “He tells me, ‘In my league today I went 3-for-3,’ Ramirez said. “I told him I was going to do the same thing today…Since my mom left, I’m doing it to him now. http://blogs.sun-sen...bat-antics.html

AnonymousAnomaly
I noticed that whenever he rounds third, he hits the underside of his chin with the back of his hand a few times. What is that all about?

Read yesterday that his "posturing" when he swings is now part of his follow through. Helps him to remember to swing all the way through the ball. When he wasn't hitting and did it on a swing and miss I didn't like it a bit. Seemd more jerk-ish to me. Attitude thing. Now that he's hitting............... Michael
People really need to stop looking for reasons to dislike hanley. *Hanley batting .425 with 45 homers and 150 RBI* "...... his nose isn't wide enough. You need a wider nose to be a good hitter."

Matty
A very mellow lovable reason i think he has. The young lad must be overjoyed everytime he does it. Imagine your hero, (mine was a man called Ronnie Moore) paying tribute to you everytime he hits a homerun/scores a goal/gets a touchdown/hits a 30 foot put ect. I met Ronnie Moore once, and i have never been so happy, and excited in my life. Was something special, and he was the nicest bloke in the world as well. For a 'sporting hero' to pay tribute must be great for a young boy. I always liked Hanley, but this had upped my already high estimation of him. Well done that man. Hopefully his mom will get to see him during the opening of the new ballpark next year.

It just looked like he was posturing, for lack of a better word. Now that an explanation for it is out there, it makes a little more sense. BroncoBob27
People really need to stop looking for reasons to dislike hanley. No one is hating on Hanley. As long as he keeps that attitude in check and remains a team player. And I really think he has taken some great strides in that direction. I doubt he ever becomes a team leader, but I'm quite satisfied with him being a team player.
