Old Timer
Great news and good for Boni, he has taken a lot of smack from Marlins fans over the last couple of years. Good to see perseverance wins out.
h2r09
and the most unlikely news of the year is....... awesome. hope he is a full time starter next year either in cf or 2b.

Rabbethan
Great news and good for Boni, he has taken a lot of smack from Marlins fans over the last couple of years. Good to see perseverance wins out. He has taken a lot of smack from Marlins fans over the last couple of years because has been a horrible Marlins player over the last couple of years. I highly doubt he continues at this level but hopefully he ends up a decent player.

Fishes on the Pond
Now how much did he get paid, or did he pay? What does it cost to be payer of the month?? :haha CONGRATS BONI!!
floridafly
Now how much did he get paid, or did he pay? What does it cost to be payer of the month?? :haha CONGRATS BONI!! Haha good catch. I don't know whats more unlikely - Boni being Player of the Month or a Marlin being Payer of the Month.
Schnellders
For the past month Bonifacio has "officially" been a better player than Pujols, Berkman, Tulowitzki, Kemp, Howard, Braun, Fielder and Beltran to name but a few
Hotcorner
I hope he keep this up through the rest of the season. If so, for me he's the best story of the team this year.
BroncoBob27
Great news and good for Boni, he has taken a lot of smack from Marlins fans over the last couple of years. Good to see perseverance wins out. Yea he has. But it's because some just have no patience. The talent was always there, even if some refused to want to see it and began just making up their own facts and stats. It looks like it has finally clicked for him. But let's not jump to conclusions just yet. Hitting is a continuous process of adjustments. I want to see him continue to make those adjustments. Not every month is going to be July for him, so saying he won't keep this up the rest of the year is really going out on a limb. I think he will be fine. bobbob1313
If we weren't starting him during a season when we had playoff aspirations and he clearly wasn't ready, people would have had much more patience. Instead, he was forced into the starting lineup when he wasn't ready, and went a long way towards hurting our playoff chances. You make it sound like he was a guy in AAA that people hated. No. He should have been in AAA, but instead was starting every day when he clearly shouldn't have been. This isn't even like a Hermida situation, where a guy was basically an average player and everyone hated him; Bonifacio was one of the worst players in baseball in '09. That's not people lacking patience. That's a guy who shouldn't be playing everyday being forced into the lineup.
