August 25, 201113 yr Hurricanes Irene is supposed to be in the Philly area starting on Friday. Shouldn't they move those games ? How about to here ? Wrong. Last update I saw is 8 am off coast of Carolinas Storm covers alot of area. Philly's forcast isn't bad for Friday as of this morning. But Saturday and Sunday look mighty bad.
August 25, 201113 yr Move them to Seattle! Move them to Scotland! :dancehead Didn't the Marlins play a home game in Philly earlier this season? Or maybe it was somewhere else? That's probably what they'll do. It would be more fun though to play the games at the end of the season to screw the Phillies up to start the playoffs. That's assuming the games would even matter in the standings. Philly is 6 games ahead of Atlanta right now. If the games are postponed and its the last series the teams play each other, they'll only be made up if they have playoff implications. BTW: Please use canceled and postponed correctly when discussing this. When people say something is canceled when its actually postponed, it drives me nuts.
August 28, 201113 yr Did they even go to the field today? Who ever thought there was a chance the games could be played and didn't postpone them yesterday should be fired. Would they have played if the stadium had a roof? The Marlins didn't actually go to NY did they? First the rainless rained out game and now the Marlins have to wait through a hurricane. I really hate the Mets. Are there gonna be games in the new stadium here during hurricanes? That might be fun actually. Any fan that comes gets free food and drinks and gets to sit where ever they want. BTW: It still says weather delay on FSN. WTF?
