Is there any information concernig where the ceremony will take place ( new stadium?) and who will be allowed to attend?

I dont think anything has been said yet, but i would expect to hear something before the end of the season, maybe they are annoucing on closing day.

I hear that it will be a "block party" along NW 14 AV, right in front of the new ballpark on November 11.

anyone who speaks ill of the organization, the new colors, the FO, or Loria's penis will be summarily escorted off site immediately - NO REFUNDS.

thankyou, and enjoy the croquetas.

Good question. Think I'll have the wife make a phone call today and see if there is a good answer.

We were told there is nothing definite about it yet and probably won't be for about a month. We asked where it was going to be and if it was open to the public or by invitation only. Never gotten bad information from this guy.

Hopefully its not the guy who got fired... A few did.

The big reveal on my Birthday. I hope they don't disappoint.

Nope. But one of those that did get fired was our newest sales rep, who never contacted us to introduce himself. Never heard one word from him all year.

Say, did that rep happen to be part of the totally and absolutely silly "community outreach" program from a couple of years ago to get the stadium deal done wherein the Marlins endeavored to hire a bunch of non-salesmen to play at being ticket salesmen/reps for a while?

Even though the only non-salesman type who can ever be turned into an actual, effective salesman is the 1 or 2% who are highly internally motivated and tired of eating peanut butter?

Whether or not your rep was part of that goofy program, it was destined to fail and surely did, as predicted. It was a sop to get the deal done. It no longer matters as the stadium is built.

That failure will continue to go without any notice, except to the extent that your post may have highlighted it. It was a dead-weight cost imposed on the Marlins by idiots in government who think that they know better than those in the private sector.

The Marlins have enough problems without government burdening them with useless, costly boondoggles. Hopefully, now that the stadium is built that sort of garbage is at an end.

is it safe to assume the name of the park itself will be revealed at this ceremony?

I have no idea who it was or how thet got the job. The best sales rep we ever had left to go back to school after the '10 season and the new one never contacted us. Even after several emails and phone calls to the FO. Ticked me off big time seeing they already had our $$$ for the '11 and '12 seasons. But you want to know who your rep is for the "little" things that you can get during the season. Thankfully we have a friend in the FO that was able to do those things for us.

Now let's see if our new one ever contacts us.

Who the heck knows? They are being very closed mouthed about that ceremony at this point. At least from what we can find out. But then our connections in the FO seem to dwindle year by year.
