February 16, 201311 yr That was a great save, desperation always leads to brilliance. Anyone remember CuJo's save in 1998 or so during a playoff game when he was an Oiler, that save to this day I imitate when the situation arises.
February 16, 201311 yr Hasek has his fair share of these ridiculous kind of saves, too. I imagine it's more characteristic in these unorthodox goalies.
February 17, 201311 yr It is, back to the luongo talk we had.... The technical goalies rarely deviate from certain save "poses". The reactive goalies just try to get their body there.
February 17, 201311 yr Right. I was imagining if you'd seen a very technical goalie in that situation, you'd see him sliding across the ice on his pads and letting the goal in.
