September 28, 201311 yr Have they named a player of the year? Also reallllllyyyy!?!?!?! could have been a lot of pitchers but that's a head scratcher Brent Keys player of the year. My pick for pitcher would have definitely been Heaney, not even a doubt. Like you said, kind of a head scratcher...
September 28, 201311 yr Author Wow based on what? Should have been Heaney, Conley or even Flynn Yeah I dunno. Heaney outperformed him in every aspect except IP... Not that W/Ls matter but heaney even had less losses

Not that W/Ls matter but heaney even had less losses They were about the same. Descafani had a FIP of 2.51 in high a, and a FIP of 3.48 in Double A. Heaney in less innings in high A had a FIP of 2.60, and a FIP of 3.41 in double A half the innings. I would give you flynn, but flynn has already gotten a call to the show.
October 3, 201311 yr did no one besides me actually look at the numbers. what actually happened in game. Desclafani and Heaney were about the same. Which could also be interpreted to mean Desclafani is a fine choice, Heaney would also have been fine. This was not an easy call but the fact that it was one of them made it a good call.
