He hasn't earned more than "an 8 inning opportunity," because almost every time he comes into a game, he implodes.

But the sample sizes he has gotten in the Majors are just unfair. I hope that he gets a better opportunity, that's all.

So we should have given Eric Reed a chance in 2006 and 2007? I mean, the sample sizes weren't fair. He only got 41 and 20 at bats, even though he hit .292 in the Minors, he should have had more chances.

I actually do think he deserved more opportunity, now that you mention it. He could have been a valuable reserve OFer with his contact ability from the left side, decent glove, and most notable blazing speed...

 

We all know now he amounted to nothing, but I'm not one to shy away from my opinion even if I was wrong.

Hatcher is terrible. It's amazing the fish gave him as many opps as they did.
