Erick Posted November 28, 2014 Share Posted November 28, 2014 Just because the organization has sucked with closers doesn't mean that they're not the easiest thing to get. If you're really that worried about the closer role for whatever reason, you can just trade Cishek for assets that we need and use the money on one of the many good relievers left in free agency, some of whom are better than Cishek. The market for relievers is way better than the market for hitters. Furthermore, what is being said about closers could be said about many other positions for us. Look at our history with 1B. Sucks even more than our history with closers, for whatever that's worth. The bottom line is that our bullpen is a strength and we have weaknesses.
