wah wah boo hoo

I woke up, had like 50 text messages,” Latos says. “I called my agent. He said, ‘(GM) Josh Byrnes couldn’t get ahold of you.’ I had zero missed calls from him. I had to call him. Maybe he had the wrong number.” He speaks of “great times” in the Reds organization and says he’s satisfied to be with the Marlins, but questions the Reds for pushing him too aggressively as he returned from injury last year, and expresses lingering bitterness at going through the arbitration process with Miami. “You see it as a business,” he says. “You kind of see how much of a pawn you really are.” Here are more notes on pitchers.

I read the whole article and not just that little blurb... it didn't sound like bitterness at all. Sounded like he was just being very straightforward about the business side of the game (which he was asked about) and he made it clear he wasn't harboring any resentment towards any of the three teams he's been part of.

He seems like a no-nonsense team player who will speak up if necessary.

I like him so far.

He needs to shut the fuck up and get ready and perform.

Thought we were bringing in character guys but he goes and does a fucking national interview the day spring training starts. Fucking idiot.

Isn't Ken Rosenthal the idiot who went out and interviewed him? A character guy doesn't block out all national interviews either. I don't get why you're so upset at Latos over this. Are character guys not allowed to do interviews?

lol I love this post. Mat Latos seems to speak his mind, but I rather him just worry about getting ready and be injury free.
