Admin Posted April 2, 2015 Share Posted April 2, 2015 MIAMI (April 2, 2015) – As South Florida readies for the much-anticipated return of Marlins baseball, FOX Sports Florida, the statewide television home of the Marlins, is excited to announce its extended coverage of Marlins Opening Day on Monday, April 6th. This year, fans should tune in to FOX Sports Florida starting at 12:00 p.m. for a full afternoon and evening of Marlins’ programming and live game action. FOX Sports Florida will present Marlins Opening Day like never before with live television coverage starting statewide at 2:30 p.m. from Marlins Park. A broadcast team of seven will provide extensive analysis as Marlins’ broadcasters Rich Waltz, Tommy Hutton, Craig Minervini, Jeff Conine, Preston Wilson, Jessica Blaylock and Carl Pavano will all play a role. Marlins Owner Jeffrey Loria and President of Baseball Operations Michael Hill are both scheduled to join the pregame show, while FOX Sports Florida will also debut a new jib camera inside Marlins Park providing a new aerial perspective throughout the broadcast. Additionally, the pregame show action will ramp up throughout the day as Marlins first baseman Michael Morse, second baseman Dee Gordon and right fielder Giancarlo Stanton are tentatively scheduled for broadcast sound bites. All the fun culminates with the first pitch at 4:10 p.m. as the Marlins open up their 2015 season vs. the Atlanta Braves.
