MiRi
My friend went to Disney World last week and he told me that at the Magic Kingdom, they have 75 Mickey Mouse statues in different designs/clothing. He said that you can purchase one and design it however you like. Well, he said that he found one owned by none other than Niner! It's pretty damn cool, if you ask me. I am a Disney fanatic and didn't know that Niner was a Disney fan. I am trying to see if any of my Orlando friends can get me a picture of it. The idiot of my friend didn't take a snapshot of it but video taped it instead. (grrrr) I have a friend who took some pics of some of the Mickeys....now if only I can find them..... MiRi
I found it!! Here's what the site said about it... JEFF CONINE First joined the Florida Marlins? baseball team in the 1993 draft, becoming the Marlins? representative in the 1994 All-Star Game?. In 1995, he was named All-Star MVP?. One of only two original Marlins remaining when the team won the 1997 World Series?, Jeff was traded back to the Kansas City Royals?, and then moved to the Baltimore Orioles? where his ?red-hot? bat earned him the Most Valuable Oriole? in 2001. He returned to the Marlins to play left field in their successful bid for the 2003 World Series?. Also a world-class racquetall player, Jeff and his wife Cindy won the 1993 and 1999 U.S. National Racquetball Dougles Championships. Together they have founded the Conine All-Star Classic, a celebrity gold tournament, which raises money for the Joe DiMaggio Children?s Hospital in Hollywood, Florida. Jeff pays tribute to Mickey and his friends in ?Family Tree,? which shows Mickey?s unique ?family? connection to all his friends. Shaq-Man
Anyway, I love Jeff's Mickey. I think it's one of the most creative one out of all the Mickeys. looking at the list of all the statues, i'd have to agree with you. 9er's is pretty good. shaq's statue is, by far, one of the least creative statues. he calls it "dunk mouse."
