SilverBullet
Just let go by the Mariners... definitely an experienced manager. Could he fit here? Maybe at least he warrants an interview? Thoughts? Anyone? Yes? No? Maybe?
Admin
Probably will get an interview. That's not a scoop, just my opinion.
CYmarlins
Maybe. I think this interview process gains some serious traction if the Dodgers get eliminated by the Mets. Mattingly seems like the guy Loria is after.
SilverBullet
Mattingly also seems like someone we'd hire and then regret. McClendon at least seems a better fit to me.
BafflingBeerman
I remember when the Mariners and Marlins both extensively used teal. I would always glance at SportsCenter, see a great highlight from a team in teal, and then be disappointed it was the Mariners, not the Marlins. And even their names sound similar! That's all I can add to these managerial threads.

CYmarlins
http://www.cbssports.com/mlb/writer/jon-heyman/25332692/dan-jennings-expected-to-return-to-gm-role-with-marlins This says it all. Watch the Video. The last 3 minutes of it. One candidate who I do think would be interesting if you are going down the Nevin route is Dave Martinez. SongInTheAir
If McClendon manages the Marlins, be ready to see Giancarlo square around to bunt in a 4-0 game with a runner on first and one out. (In other words: McClendon is a really, really bad manager who really, really loves to bunt regardless of the game situation. Kind of like Jennings and his double switches.) Das Texan
LaRussa ain't retired, he's pretty much running the DBacks. Just sayin. He is retired from managing. And he is running the baseball side of things for the Dbacks. There is less than 0 chance he is giving that up to manage more.
