Teal Shadow
Andy Pettitte has already a physical with Houston and could sign with the team within 24 hours, sources told the Houston Chronicle. The sources cautioned that some details remained to be worked out and that the deal still could fall apart if the Yankees make a last-ditch effort to re-sign Pettitte. SorianoFanHFW
over 200 million dollar payroll=championship its not right, or fair, but to say the Yankees aren't going to contend because of a 4.04 era pitcher is ridiculous. I don't agree with Yankees big spending, but the yankees are definitely competitors, and pettitte is not worth 12 and a half million a year. If I were the astros, I would of signed Suppan for much less.
