Erick
How's the Mets pen? I haven't kept up with them. They're awesome. Especially against the Marlins, we could throw a shutout against this team.

pollythewog
Ozuna is absolutely terrible. Popped up the hanging slider than gidp the 2-0 pitch. Hopefully we can trade him for a #
pollythewog
Ozuna hech dee are the problems on this team. Not Jose you garbage bags
SilverBullet
Now I'm just curious how this hitting slump is gonna end because at this point it's gonna end on some absurd shit. The Jose grand slam earlier should have been it.

Fishes on the Pond
clarkspencer @clarkspencer 84 pitches for Jose Fernandez so far. Exactly half (42) of them of strikes. That's not good.
Guest CHRISTYTOD
My husband just made a great point I never considered: why have the "All Star" game in the middle of the year? These overpaid clowns don't need a "break" - have an All Star GAME (not break) at the end of the year, when someone actually shows their worth. Case in point: Ozuna: he is called an "All Star" because he succeeded at his job for 50% of the year? Please.

SilverBullet
It's not a slump this is what happens when you field a ground ball hitting high avg team Yes Mr. Jong, I understand that. But they won't go the rest of the season not scoring a single run. Eventually they'll get a lucky break and score some more runs, I'm curious what the lucky break will be. Is that ok with you, sir? canada-marlin24
Wow man what a tale off for Ozuna. Barring a big bounce back I have to think he gets moved.

He's not the issue with this team Yes, he's not the issue but at the same time I could argue that his road performance and inability to get passed the 7th inning has been a problem. He is supposed to be the ace and should be able to get deeper into games. The strikeouts are great but not when it takes 7-8 pitches each time. I'm pretty complimentary of opposing pitchers when they're good. This is on the marlins lineup. They're just not good and even Stantons 5 WAR won't fix it. Fair points but two things, it's always been that way so won't change for tradition and lastly because it's also stupid for players to have to play a meaningless game after the playoffs have ended. It's better for the players to do it midseason. I'd imagine NFL players hate having to get warmed up for their all star game after the long grind of a season. pollythewog
But to your point about analytics, because of shifts groundballs are pretty close to strikeouts in their value. This marlins team is clearly built on " hitting it where they ain't "
