It's not straighter it's the arm angle is just so much easier to pick up. They're clearly sitting on fastballs. He's also had issues with sliders to lefties 

 

 

Imagine scoring 3 runs in the top of the 1st with Jose Fernandez starting and being down 2 runs in the 4th.
