Baltimore Signs Tejada

Well, I'm liking on the math on this. Let me tell you why.

Let's take Tejada's deal as 12 mil per:

35 Mil Spending Cash - 12 Mil for Tejada = 23 Mil left

Now, they are going to sign either Pudge or Lopez. Lets say they give Pudge 10 on average:

23 Mil - 10 Mil = 13 Mil

Do the Orioles really have enough left? We could offer him 13 mil easily, and I'm sure he'd pick the Marlins if everything was equal.

The problem with that is they are only spending $7 million on Tejada next year. It was a smart move because they have a couple of high priced contracts coming off their books in 2 years (Segui and Daal) and that's when they start paying Tejada more money.
