weirdest part aside from all these guys being injured is that all but Chen and maybe Graves should be back within a week of the regular season starting.  Hard for the front office to start the year becuase making room on the 40 man for a lot of guys who wont be here in 2 weeks isnt worth it.  I think thats why guys like Lee are up rather than someone like Galloway or Van Slyke or Schuck.

Hernandez had wisdom teeth removed as well as other dental work done as well. He didn't pitch for a week because of the swelling but he's already been back to work for over a week now. He's fine but was just delayed and is being put on the DL to "extend his spring training" and to keep him on the roster since he's a Rule 5 guy.

This is very true. It's why it's been so hard to set the roster. It's just odd timing. If spring training was even a week longer much of these roster questions never come up. One more week is probably enough for Riddle Hernandez hopefully Straily and probably Realmuto to be ready. Fingers crossed.

Trevor Richards pitched really good this spring especially those last two starts against Scherzer. I was there on Saturday when the Marlins made 6 errors in that game. Every play was routine. 4 of the errors were by the 3rd baseman alone. Yet he pitched around those mistakes with no futher damage.
