Bret Hart
There are not "useful" bullpen guys when trailed or tied game situation. I think it pushed Bearclaw-Conley-Rider's heavy workload.
fish20
Doesnt help that our bullpen depth right now is nonexistent. Guys like Graves, Meyer, and Hernandez taking up roster spots. Wittgren being in AAA makes no sense to me.

SongInTheAir
For some reason I have a feeling we're not trading anyone I guarantee you someone will be traded before the deadline.
97marlin
I don't understand why Witt not in the majors, too. Home run problem. Meyer has earned his spot in the majors see triple a numbers and limited use in the majors. The other two are rule 5 picks so have to be in the majors. Michael
But yes ... that was really, REALLY bad. Put him on the DL with Hand, Foot, and Mouth Disease, please.
Donna
Sick of seeing this guy blow wins, especially with two outs. CHANGE THE CLOSER MATTINGLY!!! You should have pulled him when there were no outs and two on! If this team only had a decent closer!! I just don't understand why Mattingly keeps him in when it's obvious he has no stuff! Six blown saves and several more where he nearly blew 3-4 run leads. The guy does not have a 'closer mentality'. Get another closer Mattingly!!!! I’m in belief that Mattingly has short term memory and forgets that this guy has been pitching awful recently and just keeps him in there. Don’t blame Mattingly, blame Jeter. He forgot to sell high on a reliever. Just like Loria, his friend who gave him the franchise.
canada-marlin24
For as good as Barraclough was the first three months, he’s been horrible since July 1. Ruined his once elite ERA. A bigger issue is that over the last two years he’s totally lost his fastball. He barely hits 94 compared to 96-98 when he came up.

Donna
Hi, please don't be one of those people that ONLY posts during negative situations. That gets old, fast. Thanks. Where else does one vent their frustrations? Barraclough is a negative... sorry, but it's true. He's blown 4 of the last six saves. It's frustrating to see the team play well and hold a lead, only to have the same guy keep blowing it.

Yes, but his velo has been down all season - he got away with that by having a very good change-up for the first three months. Not sure what's happened there, seemed to me like he's not really using it at all.

You are correct, he's been god awful of late, but I'd prefer to see a little balance in one's posts. That's all. ? Have some positive ones as well, maybe join us in the game threads every so often.
